We have created a programming library for FTC teams with a ton of advanced new features to expand the default ftc_app sdk. Notable features include:

Scouting Form

We have created an online scouting form for the Velocity Vortex season. The form has detailed questions for scouts to follow when talking to other teams.

Directions: To use the form, create a JotForm account and clone the form at the following link:

OPR and CCWM Calculator

We have programmed a spreadsheet to calculate, given the match list and match scores, the OPR and CCWM for each team. It also creates the traditional FTC rankings table.

What are OPR and CCWM? (Show)

• OPR (Offensive Power Rating): How many points, on average, the team scores
• Large OPR: Good (the team generally scores a lot of points)
• Small OPR: Bad (the team generally scores few points)
• CCWM (Calculated Contribution to Winning Margin): How much the team contributes, on average, to the winning margin
• Large CCWM: Good (the team generally contributes a lot to the winning margin)
• Small CCWM: Bad (the team generally contributes little to the winning margin)
• Negative CCWM: Very bad (the team generally actively contributes to losing the match)
• Disclaimer: OPR and CCWM could misrepresent a bad team that is carried. Make sure to watch the matches and have an intuitive understanding of the teams as well.

Directions: Make a copy (File > Make a copy...) of this spreadsheet template. Then, fill in the match list with scores (without penalties) on the first sheet (Match List) and see the values appear on the second sheet (OPR, CCWM)! You can also see a rankings table on the third sheet (Rankings). Note that the rankings table includes surrogate matches.
